Awais Athar
I a̶m̶ was a PhD student in the Natural Language and Information Processing Group under the supervision of Dr Simone Teufel.
I am a member of Girton College and insist that 2.3 miles is not that long a distance.
My research interests revolve around Computational Linguistics and Natural Langauge Processing. While my previous work focused on Sentiment Analysis and Bibliometrics, I am also interested in computational approaches to Linguistic Creativity and Information Retrieval. Prior to that, I used to build web applications and played around with 3D graphics and models. Currently, I am working on large biological data at EBI. For the more curious, here's my resume.
When free, I blog, tweet, and make wordgames.
